LOVE YOURSELF – WOMEN’S CONFERENCE II

LOVE YOURSELF – WOMEN’S CONFERENCE II

And the greatest of these is love

As women we’re taught to sacrifice ourselves, to put our own needs in last place. Always, someone or something is more important than we are. With time, it seems as though our value decreases, and we stop loving the most important person in our lives – ourselves.

During the last Women’s conference, where the main speaker with her charismatic personality was Agata Strzyżewska, we talked about love. But we weren’t talking about a great amount of emotion with butterflies in our stomachs, but rather considered how to love yourself. Not how to love the ideal women from colorful magazines, but the woman who looks at us every day in the mirror. She is strong, unique, special, and at the same time underestimated. We wondered why this is happening. Why do we mean so little in our own eyes?

Step by step, we discovered our identity in God, who after all is the One who planned and created us. Shouldn’t that alone be a source of pride? From the biblical example of David, we learned that appearance does not determine our value. What’s more, God doesn’t judge a man according to his appearance, but sees many possibilities in each person. And it all depends on us, whether we will dare to love ourselves. See for yourself – love is the greatest.
